THE CROSS

The Cross!
Once a symbol of pain, once a symbol of rejection and sorrow;
but now a symbol of victory!
2000 years ago someone left his kingdom and splendor and came to this earth to die a shameful death in a humiliating way on the cross for my sake.
His name is Jesus, the savior of the world.

He died on the cross; he died with my sins so that I don’t have to die again.
All the way from the praetorium, he carried this cross to Golgotha;
Not minding the whips of the Soldiers, just thinking about me, thinking about how to set me free.
In agony he cried out of excruciating pain as he was nailed to the cross.
He patiently received the scourging because I had to be released from the bondage of Sin.
He died in my stead, carrying my sins which I had thought could not be forgiven, for the soul that sinneth must die.
I am free this day, all as a result of the cross.
If not for Christ’s death on the cross where would I have been?
Where would you have been?
Certainly not here; we won’t have been sitting here today but would have been on an eternal path to condemnation and destruction.
I am proud to be associated with the Cross.
Thank You Jesus for paying it all for my sake on the Cross.
