IF JESUS WERE IN MY SHOES

If Jesus were in my shoes would do the things I do?

If Jesus were in my shoes would he behave like I do?

If Jesus were in my shoes will he wake up and run off to lectures without saying a prayer?
Will he eat his meals without blessing them?

Will he spend the entire hours of the day gossiping without telling his friends about the kingdom?

Will he spend his entire time of the day without reading his bible?

If Jesus were a student like me, will he cheat in exams? Will he enter the hall with exhibits? Will he? I think not. Ponder these, think about these. Will he go for night parties and ungodly shows? Will he dress almost naked in the name of fashion?

Will he kill his brain cells smoking marijuana? Will he destroy his health by drinking alcohol? If Jesus were in my shoes, if he were me will he sell his body for money?

Will he sit in the love garden having ungodly affairs like I do? Will he allow himself to be caressed and fondled like I do? Will he give up his virginity and dignity for mere “pieces of eight”? will he yield to the temptations that the campus life brings my way?

If Jesus was a Christian as I am, will he keep bad company as I do? Will he be a bench warmer in church as I am?

Will he sit in pride as praises go on in the Church? Will he deprive his neighbour of just N20 when he has N1000? Will he? Will he backbite, strive, fight, and be selfish as I am?

Obviously not. He will not.
If Jesus were in my shoes, he won’t do the things I do.
